Celebrate!
Christmas is coming. We get excited, we get busy, we look forward to the fun and the presents. We even start counting down the days. However, as we get closer to the big day, we realize that there is a greater purpose for this holiday. It’s the day that we remember that God proved that he loves us by sending his Son to earth to live among us, to suffer with us, to teach us what God’s message really is.
Does that mean that Christmas has to be solemn and serious? Of course not! It is a joyous time. We should be excited. We should exchange gifts as the Magi illustrated. We should sing Christmas carols. As long as we remember that there is a reason for the Celebration.
The Bulverde Community Chorus is going to Celebrate! the opening of the Christmas season this year with a program that will accomplish all of these things. There will be carols you can sing along with, there will be songs to laugh with and there will be beautiful music to help us remember that we are celebrating the arrival of our Saviour, our Teacher, our Friend. And best of all, we celebrate that He is still with us.
Come Celebrate! With us on December 14 and 15 at 7:00 PM and on December 16 at 3:00 PM. We will gather at the Bulverde United Methodist Church, 28300 Highway 281 North, just north of Borgfeld Rd. The Bulverde Community Chorus is a growing group of people from virtually all of the area churches and the community in general who love to get together in fellowship to make music and praise God. No experience is necessary. If you like to sing and would like to join the fun, contact the numbers above to get rehearsal times. Then just show up and make a joyful noise!
