Civility at the Table
Description
Founding Father Benjamin Franklin advised,
“Be civil to all”.
The public is invited to two programs about practicing civility in everyday life and in communicating with elected officials on Saturday November 10 and November 17, 2018 .“Be civil to all”.
The session on Nov. 10, Civility at the Table, will review tools anyone can use including respect, listening, understanding, checking our biases and remembering that we can agree to disagree.
LWV-CA President Roxanna Deane notes that the workshop “will also provide an opportunity to practice these civility skills which attendees may find useful during family holiday gatherings.”
