To: Chambers of Commerce, Cities, Counties, Water Managers & Other Interest Groups Concerned About the Ongoing Drought and Flows from Comal and San Marcos Springs in 2015

The Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce and its Natural Resources Committee invite you to a water planning and resource protection program on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the New Braunfels Civic Center from 9:30 am to 12 noon. The Civic Center is located at 390 S. Seguin Ave. in New Braunfels. The point of contact for this meeting is Rusty Brockman, Director of Economic Development for the New Braunfels Chamber. Participants in this program include the GBRA, NBU, Guadalupe Basin Coalition, and others. Sponsors for this event are HDR Engineering, River City Engineering, LNV Engineers, Guadalupe Basin Coalition, and the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Natural Resources Committee.

The purpose of this meeting will be to provide valuable, up to date information on the status of the current drought, water sources in the basin being drawn upon from Kerrville to the Coast and the levels of those resources, predicted effects on these resources if the drought persists into the spring and summer 2015, conservation methods in place to preserve the water supplies, and a discussion of new and additional conservation measures to consider for the future of the basin.
