Description
Why fair voting district maps are important and benefit everyone will be the focus of a nonpartisan, public forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Comal Area. LWV-TX Redistricting Issue Chair Stephanie Swanson and Common Cause Texas Chair JC Dufresne will discuss the current process for determining voting districts and what changes are needed. These improvements include a Citizens Redistricting Commission, and a state redistricting process and standards that promote fair and elective representation with maximum opportunity for public scrutiny.
