Description

Wondering what’s real and what’s fake news?

The League of Women Voters of the Comal Area (LWVCA) invites the public to learn how to evaluate print and social media reports. “It may seem overwhelming to check everything but it is important to check anything that you are considering sharing or acting on”, commented Roxanna Deane, President of LWVCA and a librarian with 50 years of experience.

Ms. Deane will review how to combat fake news and provide a handout listing online resources for fact checking during the brown bag lunch meeting with LWVCA members.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
