Mitigating the Threat of Identity Theft


	Monday, May 15th from 2:00pm - 3:15pm Wednesday, May 24th from 6:30pm - 7:45pm What you don’t know can hurt you. Have you ever heard someone say: I use cash so I won’t become a victim of identity theft. My credit report is monitored. I don’t have to worry. My identifying information can be transmitted safely by e-mail. It is safe to respond to an unsolicited phone call or internet form as long as you recognize the name of the company. We will talk about the different types of identity theft, what to watch and listen for to help mitigate your chances of becoming a victim. Identity thieves are very creative. We will discus some of the new scams that are out there. The best defense is knowledge. The discussion leader will be Dean Bentle, a Director at LegalShield. Registration is required.
