The 2020 Census and Our Community

The League of Women Voters of the Comal Area invites the public to a discussion of the 2020 census and our community Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 -8 p.m. Partnership Specialist for the United States Census Bureau - Denver Region Richard Castanon and New Braunfels Complete County Committee Member Maria Saenz-Rodriguez will speak about the census process and answer questions about what individuals can do to get their families and communities counted. “The census is more than just a count of population and this is the first time it will be primarily online”, commented forum coordinator Gloria Suarez Sasser. “It determines where federal and state dollars are spent, how congressional seats are apportioned, where businesses invest. We need to ensure that our community is counted accurately to benefit everyone.”
