Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to partner with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our hybrid model - STREAM at Bracken Christian School. This role requires a passionate, dynamic educator who is committed to nurturing both the academic and spiritual growth of young learners in a collaborative and flexible hybrid learning environment.
You will be teaching 3rd grade, 2 days a week (M/W) and 1-day a week offering family support and lesson planning. This is a hybrid class; lessons are prepared for on campus instruction (M/W) and home day independent work (T/TH/F).
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Has a bachelor’s degree in early education or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Holds (or be eligible to hold) a teaching certificate in early childhood education.
Experience:
Strong Christian faith and personal testimony
Prior Christian school experience
Proven experience as a lower grade elementary school teacher in a hybrid learning environment
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Knowledge of Google Workspace
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement instructional goals that actively engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
Deliver creative, age-appropriate, and Christ-centered lessons during on-campus instruction (Mondays and Wednesdays).
Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment by building strong, trusting relationships with students.
Organize and manage the classroom effectively to promote a focused and productive learning atmosphere.
Partner closely with families to provide a robust, integrated learning experience that extends beyond the classroom into home-based learning days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).
Provide clear guidance and resources for home-based learning (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).
Ensure continuity between on-campus instruction and home day assignments, aligning with curriculum standards and school values.
