NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS – Oscar-nominated actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton and his band, The Boxmasters, will be featured in a special United Way Speaker Series at historic Gruene Hall on Thursday, September 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event, which takes place the morning before their sold-out Gruene Hall concert, will benefit United Way of Comal County and provide additional support for Hill Country flood victims.

 
Guests will enjoy a buffet breakfast inside the legendary dance hall, followed by a one-hour onstage conversation with Thornton—well known for his role in the upcoming Paramount+ series Landman—and his bandmates. The discussion will be moderated by Mattson Rainer, General Manager of KNBT/KGNB Radio, and will give fans a rare behind-the-scenes look at their music and careers, all while supporting a critical community cause.
 
The United Way of Comal County, founded 80 years ago in New Braunfels, provides vital funding to more than 30 local nonprofits annually. A portion of the proceeds from this event will also directly aid Hill Country flood victims.
