Quilt of Valor Veterans Ceremony

On November 9, 2025, please join HOME Church at 2 pm as we honor and show our respect and admiration to our Bulverde/Spring Branch Veterans! In recognition of their service and sacrifice to this nation, in peacetime or in war, and in observance of Veteran's Day, we will award up to 40 military veterans with a Quilt of Valor, handmade by our HOME Church quilting group, "Made with Love, not Perfection."

The Quilt of Valor (QOV) Foundation was founded in 2003 by Catherine Roberts, whose son was serving in Iraq. She decided to make quilts for his unit representing healing, love, compassion and support for their service and sacrifice. Fast forward over 20 years and today there are over 25,000 volunteers, over 1000 Quilt of Valor groups having awarded over 350,000 hand-made Quilts of Valor. These groups have contributed over 31 million hours to make and present quilts to service members and veterans. Made with Love not Perfection, our HOME Church quilting group, is one of those QOV groups. The Quilt of Valor unequivocally says, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.”

Each veteran being awarded a Quilt of Valor will be wrapped in the quilt as an expression of gratitude meant to thank each veteran for their service, sacrifice, and valor in serving our nation.
